Piero della Francesca. The Augustinian polyptych reunited
In 1469, Piero della Francesca completed a polyptych for the high altar of the Augustinian church in Borgo San Sepolcro. Subsequently disassembled, only eight panels have survived to this day. After 555 years, the polyptych has been reunited at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum in Milan. The accompanying volume provides a scientific exploration of the masterpiece, including the results of diagnostic analyses.
